Alfred Rewane, also known as Pa Alfred early in life joined forces with like-minded people and demanded freedom for his people from the British. The struggle was epic and Pa Alfred Rewane was in the forefront and spent substantive personal resources in the cause of the struggle and applied his time and self so that the object at hand would be realized. When Independent was eventually achieved, Pa Alfred was one of the most indomitably committed to the success of representative governance, the rule by the majority, the rule of law, civil liberties and human rights. In all the public appointments he held he gave to his country meritorious service, he displayed the highest sense of personal discipline, probity, integrity accountability and transparency.
