Monolith refers to any large-scale structure created from the carving and fashioning of a single, massive stone. Heru-em-Akhut is the greatest known example of a monolithic structure. Other examples include the Obelisks of Khemt, Olmec Heads in Central America and Tiwakanu statues of Peru.
