The South Tongu District is a district of Ghana in the south of the Volta Region. Its capital is Sogakope.

It has the North Tongu District to its north and north-west, the Akatsi District to the northeast, Keta District to the south and the Dangme East District in the Greater Accra Region to the west and southwest.[1]

There are many streams in the district. The prominent ones are the Chinni and Todzi. The Volta River runs to the west of this district.
