Usage
- Use this template after, and on the same line as, the redirect link in the following manner
- Example Antony van Leeuwenhook:
#REDIRECT [[Antonie van Leeuwenhoek]] {{R from misspelling}}
- This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
- This template takes one optional unnamed parameter, the correct spelling. When (and only when) the correct spelling is not the same as the target article title—for example when an alternate name for the article has been misspelled—supply the correct name as the parameter in the following manner:
{{R from misspelling|(Correct spelling)}}
- Example Babtist:
#REDIRECT [[Baptists]] {{R from misspelling|Baptist}}
- This Rcat populates the Redirects from misspellings and Unprintworthy redirects categories.
- If a Main-article-namespace redirect's misspelling is deemed to be printworthy, then the automatic listing in the Unprintworthy category can be subdued and the redirect categorized as printworthy by the use of the printworthy=yes parameter:
{{R from misspelling|printworthy=yes}}
- To subdue the Unprintworthy category and place a redirect into the Printworthy category, the unprintworthy=no parameter may also be used in conjunction with the {{R printworthy}} Rcat:
{{R from misspelling|unprintworthy=no}}
{{R printworthy}}
- Note: All redirects that are in the Main namespace are considered either printworthy (usable in a printed version of Wikipedia) or unprintworthy. When an untagged redirect is found, please decide its printworthiness and tag it appropriately.
- To subdue the Unprintworthy category and place a redirect into the Printworthy category, the unprintworthy=no parameter may also be used in conjunction with the {{R printworthy}} Rcat:
- The following Rcats redirect here and can also be used:

- Please note that common misspellings can also be useful redirects.
